Food as Medicine, Not Marketing
The formulation behind Nutri-Win Cereal was shaped by nutritional research going back to 2002, developed with the support of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO). We did not start with branding — we started with the question of what Nigerian families actually need from their food, and built backward from the science.
Nigeria's grains — sorghum, maize, soya, rice — are not inferior alternatives to imported ingredients. Used correctly and in the right proportions, they deliver exceptional nutritional value. Our formulation proves that local can also mean optimal.
Nutri-Win Cereal is NAFDAC certified, meaning it has passed Nigeria's regulatory standard for food safety and quality. Its high dietary fibre content actively supports gut health and regular bowel function, while its complex carbohydrate profile avoids the sharp insulin spike common to Nigerian staple foods like white rice, eba, or pounded yam.
“We do not design products from the boardroom down. We design them from the community up — starting with the question: what does this person actually need?”
— Nutri-Win Head of Nutrition Science
What the Ingredients Do
Four grains. Dozens of nutrients. One purpose: complete nourishment at every age.
Whole Grains, Sustained Energy
Sorghum and white maize are complex carbohydrate sources that release energy gradually, keeping blood sugar levels stable across the day. Unlike refined carbohydrate-heavy staples, they do not trigger rapid insulin responses — making Nutri-Win suitable for adults managing their metabolic health.
Soya Beans, Complete Protein
Soya beans are one of the few plant-based sources of complete protein, providing all nine essential amino acids the body cannot produce on its own. This makes them critical for infant muscle development, childhood growth, and tissue repair in adults and the elderly.
Fibre and Gut Health
The combined fibre content of sorghum, maize, and soya beans supports healthy digestion and regular bowel movement — particularly important for elderly users and young children transitioning to solid food. A well-functioning gut also supports immunity and nutrient absorption.
Micronutrients Against Malnutrition
Micronutrient deficiency — in iron, zinc, B vitamins, and more — is one of the leading drivers of childhood malnutrition in Nigeria. The Nutri-Win formulation is designed to address these gaps, providing the essential vitamins and minerals that support cognitive development, immunity, and healthy growth.
